    Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key year-end deadlines?

Audited financial statements must be approved at a shareholders’ meeting within four months of the year-end and filed with the DBD within one month of approval. The corporate income tax return (PND.50) is due within 150 days of the year-end, or 158 days if filed online.

Is an audit required for my company?

Yes. The annual financial statements of a Thai limited company must be audited by a licensed auditor before they are approved and filed.

Can you close the year if our books are incomplete?

Yes, but we first need to bring your records up to date. We will tell you what is missing and how long it is likely to take.

Can the same firm prepare and audit our financial statements?

Professional independence rules restrict an auditor from preparing the financial statements it audits. We structure our engagements to keep the audit independent and will explain your options during the consultation.
